RV Sales Require That You Know The Subject!RV sales centers in our opinion are the first place you should go if you are thinking about buying a RV. Some people would disagree and say that you should go online and do some research on RV sales first, but this is OK only if you have some idea of what you are looking for. We really believe that you need to physically see the RV's so that you can get a good appreciation of their size, how the interior is laid out etc. You need to sit in them and see how it feels behind the wheel, and walk around in them and get a feel of the interior. Then when you are more familiar with the different makes and models, the information on the online RV sales sites will be far more interesting and beneficial. RV sales and service is a crucial component when you purchase your RV. You hear plenty of horror stories from fellow travelers of their bad experiences with either the sales side or the service department of their RV dealership. Many RV sales centers have reached the stage that they just can't handle the service workload anymore because of the number of RV's that are now on the road. This makes for a very unhappy customer when they have to wait several weeks to get regular maintenance work carried out. It's OK if you know well in advance what your plans are, but a real problem if you have an unforseen warranty problem. Unless you know about vehicle weights, the differences between Class A, B & C and their various limitations, as well as all the other major considerations of motorhomes, then talking to the experts at the RV sales center is a must. We had no idea initially, and started our learning process by visiting all the local manufacturers who lived relatively near to us. One thing that we didn't realise at the time, but we do now, is that when you purchase your RV, the after sales service aspect is very important, and the closer to your home the better. By the time we were ready to purchase, we were quite conversant with the RV sales people on things such as the different floor plans, the vehicle's driveability, automatic transmissions and the vehicle's chassis. This was a big learning curve for us but one that had to be undertaken to make a correct decision. If you want the RV sales people to take you seriously then you have to show them that you do have some idea about what you are talking about. When they sense that you are not wasting their time they are usually very willing to be helpful. As soon as we felt that we were beginning to grasp the different makes and models of RV's we then spent more and more time searching the RV sales sites on the Internet. There are so many of them that you can sit there for hours going through the listings. It is going to be much easier though if you have some idea what type of RV you want. You can then do a specific search in the sales sections which will save you an awful lot of wasted time. |
